Maureen Croes has served as President of PanAm Aquatics since 2019, leading the organization through a transformative period of modernization, growth, and expanded support for aquatic sports across the Americas. A respected leader in international sport governance, President Croes has played a key role in strengthening institutional frameworks, increasing development opportunities, and advancing initiatives that support athletes, coaches, technical officials, and National Federations throughout the continent.
With a professional background in communications, event management, and international sports relations, President Croes brings extensive experience in the planning and delivery of major competitions, educational programs, and strategic initiatives. Her leadership has helped reshape PanAm Aquatics into a more dynamic, transparent, and resource-driven organization dedicated to the development of all aquatic disciplines.
In 2025, President Croes was elected Vice President of World Aquatics, further extending her impact on the global stage of aquatic sport. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership positions within international and regional sport organizations, including serving on the World Aquatics Bureau, the ACODEPA Executive, the FINA Reform Committee, and the FINA Media Committee, as well as Secretary General of CCCAN.
Deeply connected to aquatics at every level, President Croes has also served as a coach, team manager, meet director, and organizing committee member for major regional and international competitions. Her broad experience across governance, events, and athlete development reflects a lifelong commitment to strengthening aquatics and creating opportunities for the entire aquatic community across the Americas.
